Campfires are once again permitted in the Kamloops Fire Centre.

A category 1 campfire, as defined in the Wildfire Regulation, refers to any fire that is:

No larger than 0.5 metres high by 0.5 metres wide

Used for recreational purposes or by a First Nation for ceremonial purposes.

Campfires Safety:

  • Campfires are only permitted in the designated areas at the resort: there is one campfire pit near the water below cabins 2-3. The second firepit is below cabins 14-15.

  • Always check if there’s a fire ban.

  • Keep your fire small and under control. Never leave a fire unattended.

  • Make sure your fire is completely out before you leave the firepit area.
